A Private Examination, including Retinal Photography is £59 and takes around 30 minutes. A Private Examination, including a Triton 3D OCT scan is £75 and takes around 45 minutes. 

An NHS sight test is free to those who are eligible. Retinal photography can be included for £10 or a Triton 3D OCT scan can be included for £40.

Every two years, unless a more regular examination is recommended by your Optometrist, or you're noticing problems with your vision.

Ideally before they start school or if you have concerns regarding their eyes or vision.

A child doesn't need to be able to read to have an eye test. We can use matching letters or we can use pictures.

Yes, its a good idea as the Optometrist will not have access to your hospital records. The OCT will allow your Optometrist to see changes to your eyes earlier than just looking at the surface, as it scans the layers beneath. 

Yes, we have a large range of sunglasses that can be fitted with prescription sunglass lenses. We can also advise on suitable lens filters to address the glare from the Sun.

If your current prescription is valid and within your recall date, we are able to use it at your request.

Alternatively you  could have a Private Eye Test which would ensure your new glasses and your eye health was completely up to date.

Yes, we offer you the option of regular direct debit payments for daily and monthly contact lenses, solutions and aftercare.

The monthly payment plan also helps with discounts toward eyewear and sunglasses.

Yes, we have suitable access. We've also invested in a removable testing chair in one of our examination rooms. This allows a wheelchair to be positioned in its place.

A list of current medication will help with your examination. Other useful information and things to bring are your GP's name, Your current and spare glasses and any specific visual needs or distances you require.


Please check with us when making your appointment as to whether the Optometrist would like you to wear your current lenses to the check. Please also bring your glasses and your contact lens case (if applicable).

Yes, you have the option of modular prescription goggles or racing, taylor made goggles. They start from around £44. If deeper water is your pleasure, we also have snorkel and scuba masks in prescription form.

Yes, we have some of the best sport specific eyewear ranges available. Designed for various sports including Road & Mountain Biking, Football, Basketball, Fishing, Racquet sports, Scuba, Shooting, Water Sports , paragliding etc. 

You can also choose from a range of corrective lenses that have been designed for specific sports and their environments. Please ask us if you would like more information on these.
